GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A new sit-down restaurant is open for business on Grand Rapids' southeast side.
The LINC Up Soul Food Cafe is located on Madison Avenue, inside the LINC development center. It is the first sit-down restaurant in the Madison Square Business District.
The restaurant plans to use products from local vendors, in making a "healthier ethnic fusion of traditional country staples with urban appeal."
"It's comfort food. We have local chefs, we buy local, we're hiring local. It stands for everything LINC believes in: Bringing the community together around good conversation, good food and improving neighborhoods," said Darel Ross of LINC Community Revitalization.
The soul food cafe is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon until four p.m. on Sunday.
